This is a great fish plate. It comes from the Cretaceous of Lebanon, where wars have hindered collecting for years. This site usually produces shrimp, lobsters, and starfish, but very beautiful and rare fish are also found. This piece is one of them. It has two wonderful Angelfish-type fish on the plate, and they are both well-centered. The colors and details are amazing. The matrix plate is nicely squared, and there are no cracks. This is an unusual type of fish, and to have two of this quality together is almost unheard of. This piece is the perfect combination of rarity and beauty.
