This is simply a beautiful fossil. It is a museum quality Stingray specimen from Lincoln County, Wyoming. This is a female Heliobatis radians, one of the most sought-after fossils found in the Green River Formation. The Ray has great color, and it contrasts beautifully with the buff-colored matrix. The Stingray has excellent detail - the two stinger barbs are even intact and well preserved! The large Ray (over 17 inches long!) is almost perfectly centered on the rectangular matrix plate. This is a striking example of a rare stingray fossil that can not only be be part of your fossil collection, but also proudly displayed in your home or office! (Display stand is included for free.)
