This is a very displayable fossil fish. It is a Knightia humilis from the Green River Formation of Wyoming. This fossil fish is nicely articulated and exhibits great detail - the bone structure is clearly defined and the fins are easily seen. Even the scale pattern of the fish is preserved. The fish has great color and contrast and is well centered on the plate of matrix. This fish plate has been professionally matted and framed for optimal display.
