This is a beautiful association plate from the Middle Cretaceous seas. It is a Prionolepis (Fish) and Carpopenaeus (Shrimp) plate from Lebanon. This is a wonderful natural slab with two different types of fossils represented - one a vertebrate and the other an invertebrate. The Prionolepis is long and thin, with excellent overall detail. The very fine scale pattern is even preserved. The Carpopenaeus also has nice detail, and is preserved in the classic "shrimp pose". Together, they combine to make a beautiful natural display fossil. This is a great association plate of two different types of fossil animals.
