Here is a wonderful specimen of Lycoptera davidi from the Jurassic of China. This distinct specimen exhibits superb detail - the bone structure is extremely well defined, and the fins and tail are nicely displayed. The very colorful fish is totally natural and contrasts beautifully with the tan and off-white matrix. The fossil is well showcased on the large, repaired plate of shale that also contains a second fish. This is a beautiful example of this Jurassic fish from China.
