This is a nice specimen of Priscacara hypsacantha from the Eocene of Wyoming. The distinct fossil fish has natural orange-brown color and contrasts beautifully with the cream-colored matrix. The fish has great bone structure and excellent fin and tail detail. The fish is well showcased on the large, rectangular plate of matrix. This is a very uncommon example of this newly-discovered fossil fish from the Green River Formation.
