This is a very unusual fossil. It is a Knightia eocaena fish from the Green River Formation of Wyoming. The fish is extremely detailed. There is also a large set of jaws with large teeth preserved on the plate. The jaws are from a fish that could have easily devoured the smaller fishThis is a very uncommon example of both a fossil fish and predatory jaws preserved on the same plate - what a conversation piece!
