This is a nice fossil fish. It is a complete Knightia eocaena from the Green River Formation of Wyoming. This fossil fish is nicely articulated and exhibits good detail - the bone structure is clearly defined, and the fins and eye socket are easily seen. Even the ''flesh'' of the fish is preserved. The fish has nice color and contrast and is well centered on the plate of matrix. This fish plate has been professionally framed for optimal display.
