This is a very cool fossil. It is a museum quality Stingray fossil from Wyoming. The Stingray is Heliobatis radians, one of the most sought-after fossils found in the Green River Formation. This particular specimen is a male, as it has the male mating graspers intact. The Stingray has great color and fabulous detail, and contrasts strikingly with the buff-colored matrix. The Ray is beautifully showcased on the large, natural matrix plate.
