This is simply a wonderful fossil. It is a museum quality Stingray fossil from Wyoming. The Stingray is Heliobatis radians, one of the most sought-after fossils found in the Green River Formation. This particular specimen is a female, as it lacks the mating graspers the males possess. The Stingray has great color and fabulous detail, and contrasts strikingly with the buff-colored matrix. The Ray is almost perfectly centered on the rectangular matrix plate. This is a stunning example of a rare stingray fossil that can not only be be part of your fossil collection, but also proudly displayed in your home or office!
