Here is a cool specimen of Lycoptera davidi from the Jurassic of China. This specimen is very large for this type and exhibits superb detail - the bone structure is extremely well defined, and the fins are nicely displayed. The orange-brown color of the fish is totally natural and contrasts beautifully with the tan and off-white matrix. The fossil is well showcased on the large plate of shale. This is a colorful example of this Jurassic fish from China.
