This is a nice multiple plate of Knightia eocaena from the Green River Formation of Wyoming. It is interesting that all the fossil fish are the same type and are preserved close together. The fossils exhibit fine detail - the eye sockets are easily seen, and the bone structure of the fish is quite evident. The fins and tails are also nicely intact. The fossils have excellent color and contrast. and are naturally scattered about the large matrix plate. This is a very nice grouping of six fossil fish on one plate.
