This is a complete specimen of Priscacara serrata from the Eocene of Wyoming. The fossil fish has good brown color and contrasts nicely with the cream-colored matrix. The fish has great bone structure and excellent fin detail, especially on the large dorsal fin. The fish is well centered on a rectangular plate of matrix. This is a beautiful example of this classic fossil fish from the Green River Formation.
