This is a very nice plate of fossil fish from the Eocene of Wyoming. There are three very nice Knightia eocaena on the plate. All of the fish exhibit good detail. The bone structure is well displayed and the eye sockets are easily seen. The orangish-brown color of the fossils is natural, and the contrast with the cream-colored matrix is outstanding. The fish are naturally positioned on the semi-rectangular plate of shale. This is a fine display plate of three fossil fish from the Green River Formation.
