This is a beautiful specimen of Priscacara hypsacantha from the Eocene of Wyoming. The distinct fossil fish has natural orange-brown color and contrasts beautifully with the cream-colored matrix. The fish has great bone structure and excellent fin detail, especially on the large dorsal fin. The fish is well showcased on the large, rectangular plate of matrix. This is a very displayable example of this newly-discovered fossil fish from the Green River Formation.
