This is a very distinct multiple plate of fossil fish from the Green River Formation of Wyoming. It is interesting that there are a few different sizes of Knightia eocaena fish preserved. The fossils exhibit fine detail - the eye sockets are easily seen, and the bone structure of the fish is quite evident. The fins and tails are also nicely intact. The fossils have excellent color and contrast and are naturally scattered about the large, rectangular matrix plate. This is a very fine grouping of five fossil fish on one plate.
