This is a very unusual Priscacara serrata fossil. This type of fossil fish, Priscacara, is very sought-after because of its recognizable look - similar to a modern-day Bluegill or Crappie. This fossil is a rare split pair - both halves of the fossil are preserved. The fins and tail on this specimen display very well. The fine bone structure is quite detailed, and the color and contrast are striking. Both halves of this fossil are sitting on display bases, which are included at no charge. This is a rare two-piece specimen of this classic fossil fish - worthy of a collection of display in one's home or office.
