Here is a beautiful example of Diplomystus dentatus from the Eocene of Wyoming. This large specimen has great, natural color and contrasts nicely with the cream-colored matrix. The extremely detailed fish exhibits great bone structure and the fins are wonderfully displayed. It is almost perfectly centered on the rectangular plate of shale. This is an excellent specimen of Diplomystus from the Green River Shale.
