This is a very fine plate of fossil fish from the Eocene of Wyoming. There are FOUR complete specimens of Knightia eocaena on the plate. All of the fish exhibit wonderful detail. The bone structure is beautifully displayed, and the fins are easily seen. The yellow-orange color of the fossils contrasts well with the light cream-colored matrix. The fish are naturally positioned on the rectangular plate of shale. This is a very ''showy'' plate of four fabulous fish from the Green River Formation.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally. A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
