This is a very detailed specimen of Eohiodon falcatus from the Eocene of Wyoming. The large fossil fish is has nice, two-toned brown coloration, which contrasts nicely with the cream-colored matrix. The fish has great bone structure and excellent fin and tail detail. The mouth is open, and the large teeth display prominently. The fish is well displayed on the large, natural plate of matrix. This is a fine example of this rare predatory fish from the Green River Formation.
