This is a very nice multiple plate of fossil fish from the Green River Formation of Wyoming. We counted five Knightia and two Diplomystus on the rock. It is interesting that there are two different types of fish - that is uncommon. The fossils exhibit fine detail - the eye sockets are easily seen, and the bone structure of the fish is quite evident. The fins and tails are also nicely intact. The fossils have excellent color and contrast and are artistically, but naturally, scattered about the very large matrix plate. This is a very displayable grouping of different fossil fish on a large display plate of shale.
