This is a very unusual fossil fish. It is a complete Stichocentrum sp. from Lebanon. Due to political unrest, specimens from this site are difficult to obtain. This type of fossil fish has a very distinct shape and large mouth. The specimen has great color and extremely fine detail preserved. The fish is beautifully showcased on the squared matrix plate. This is a wonderful fossil salt water fish from the Cretaceous of Lebanon.
