This is a beautiful double fish plate from the Green River Shale. Both fish on the slab are Mioplosus labracoides. These fish are quite large (larger one is over nine inches long!) and have excellent detail preserved - the fins and tail are easily seen, and the bone structure is quite distinct.  Both fish have wonderful color and superb contrast. and the many teeth in the mouth on both fish are quite noticable. The fossils display beautifully on the large, squared slab of shale. This is a large, aesthetic display plate of two predatory fossil fish from Wyoming.

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
