This is a very rare juvenile specimen of Phareodus testis from the Green River Formation of Wyoming. The fish is nicely showcased on the large plate of shale. The fossil exhibits nice detail - the bone structure is well preserved, and some of the distinct teeth are seen in the mouth. The fossil fish has good color and contrasts well with the matrix that also contains a partial Knightia fish. This is a fine juvenile example of Phareodus from the Green River Formation.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
