This is a very unusual fossil fish. It is an Exocoetoides minor from Lebanon. Due to political unrest, fossils from this site are very hard to obtain. This ''flying'' fish has very good color and fine detail (some enhancement for contrast). The fish is beautifully showcased on the semi-rectangular plate of sublithographic limestone that also contains another type of fossil fish. This is an excellent example of a Cretaceous flying fish - probably the most talked-about fossil fish from this locality.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
