Here is a wonderful specimen of Lycoptera sp. from the Jurassic of China. This specimen is large for the type and exhibits superb detail - the bone structure is extremely well defined, and the fins are nicely displayed. The nice, dark color of the fish is totally natural and contrasts beautifully with the tannish-grey matrix. The fossil is nicely showcased on the large, natural plate of shale. This is a beautiful example of this Jurassic fish from China.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
