This is a very rare fossil fish specimen. It is a detailed Hajoulia sp. from the Cretaceous layers of Lebanon. Fossils from this region have become increasingly difficult to obtain due to political unrest. This sleek specimen of Hajoulia is carniverous, high up in the Cretaceous food chain. The fish is complete down to the individual rays of the fins and tail. The sharp teeth are even well displayed in the open mouth. And, best of all, the fish has no enhancement or restoration whatsoever. This is an excellent specimen of a predatory fossil fish from the Cretaceous.
