This is a very pretty plate of fossil fish from the Eocene of Wyoming. There are three very nice specimens of Knightia eocaena on the plate. All of the fish exhibit wonderful detail. The bone structure is beautifully displayed, and the fins are easily seen. The orangish-brown color of the fossils contrasts well with the cream-colored matrix. The fish are naturally positioned on the somewhat oval plate of shale. This is a ''showy'' plate of three fabulous fish from the Green River Formation.
