Here is a special fossil from the Cretaceous of Lebanon. Due to political unrest, fossils from this site are becoming increasingly harder to obtain. In the center of the plate is a very fine example of a rare Exocoetoides minor, a unique flying fish. This unusual fish has very good color and detail - the fish exhibits wonderful bone structure and long fins for flying. This is one of the strangest fossil fish from this location. The fossil is well showcased on the squared plate of matrix. This is an excellent example of a rare flying fish from the Cretaceous Seas.
