This is an extremely prolific multiple plate of fossil fish from the Green River Formation of Wyoming. It is interesting that all the fossil fish are the same type and are all generally the same size. The fossils exhibit fine detail - the eye sockets are easily seen, and the bone structure of the fish is quite evident. The fins and tails are also nicely intact. The fossils have excellent color and contrast and are naturally, artistically scattered about the large matrix plate. This is a very rare grouping of almost 30 complete fossil fish on one plate.
