This is an unusual fossil fish. It is an Exocoetoides minor from Lebanon. Due to political unrest over the years, fossils from this site are becoming increasingly harder to obtain. This ''flying'' fish has very good color and fine detail (NO enhancement on this specimen). The fish is beautifully showcased on the squared plate of sublithographic limestone. This is an excellent example of a Cretaceous flying fish - probably the most talked-about fossil fish from this locality.
