Here is a gorgeous example of a rare fossil fish in a frame. It is an excellent Eohiodon falcatus from the Green River Formation of Wyoming. This very rare predatory fish fossil has been professionally framed for optimal display. The fish is extremely detailed - the backbone is easily seen, and even the large teeth in the mouth are well-preserved! The fish is almost perfectly centered on the cream-colored block of shale.
