This is a very detailed specimen of Lycoptera sp. from the Jurassic of China. This complete fish exhibits the bone structure in wonderful fashion, and the fins and tail are clearly defined. The fossil fish has great natural color and contrast and is beautifully centered on the natural plate of matrix. This is an excellent example of Lycoptera from the Jurassic.
