Here is an unusual multiple plate of fossil fish from China. These are Lycoptera sp. from the Upper Jurassic. There are three complete fish on the plate, which is quite uncommon. These colorful fish exhibit fine detail. The bone structure is well preserved, and the bodies of the fish are easily seen. The orange fish contrast very nicely with the tan matrix. This is a very good multiple example of Jurassic fish from China.
