This is a very prolific multiple plate of Knightia eocaena from the Green River Formation of Wyoming. It is quite interesting that all the fossil fish are the same type and all are generally the same size. The fossils exhibit fine detail - the eye sockets are easily seen, and the bone structure of the fish is quite evident. The fins and tails also mostly intact. The fossils have excellent color and contrast and are artistically displayed on the large, natural matrix plate. This is a very pretty plate of many fossil fish from the Eocene.
