This is a very nice specimen of Diplomystus dentatus from the Eocene of Wyoming. The fossil fish has very good brown coloration and contrasts nicely with the cream-colored matrix. The distinct fish has great bone structure and excellent fin detail. The fossil is well centered on a natural plate of matrix. This is a beautiful fossil fish from the Green River Formation.
