Here is a special plate of fossils from the Cretaceous of Lebanon. Due to political unrest, fossils from this site are becoming increasingly harder to obtain. In the center of the plate is a very fine example of a rare Exocoetoides minor, a unique flying fish. This unusual fish has very good color and detail. This is one of the most uncommon fossil fish from this location. On the bottom of the slab is another fossil fish. This unidentified fish has great color and exhibits wonderful bone structure. Both fossils are well showcased on the rectangular plate of matrix. This is an excellent example of a rare flying fish from the Cretaceous Seas.
