Here is a wonderful multiple specimen of Lycoptera sp. from the Jurassic of China. Two of the specimens are quite large for the type and exhibit superb detail - the bone structures are extremely well defined and the fins are nicely displayed. The rusty-brown color of the fish is totally natural and contrasts beautifully with the tannish-grey matrix. The fossils are well positioned on the large plate of shale that contains a smaller fish and plant parts. This is a beautiful multiple example of this classic Jurassic fish from China.
