This is a distinct fossil fish. It is a large Mioplosus labracoides from Wyoming. This specimen is complete and has all the small fins intact. The teeth are even preserved on this specimen, on both the top and bottom jaws! The scale pattern is also intact, which is quite unusual. The fish is nicely centered on the rectangular matrix plate. This is a wonderful example of a large, predatory fish from the Green River Formation.
