Here is a fabulous display specimen of a fossil fish. This is one of the best Diplomystus dentatus from the Green River Formation that we have been able to offer. This large fish exhibits incredible detail. The bone structure and fins are superb, and the eye socket is easily seen. The fish has great color and excellent contrast, and is almost perfectly centered on a large rectangular plate that also contains another partial fish. This is a stunning specimen of a large fossil herring from Wyoming - suitable for framing.
