This is a very collectible fish fossil. It is a plate of four fish from the Cretaceous Cenomanian Layers of Lebanon. Due to political unrest, fossil from this area are getting harder to obtain. This plate not only has four fossil fish preserved, all four fish are different types! On the right side is what appears to be an Armigatus brevissimus. This fish is complete and has nice detail. In the center of the plate is a Diplomystus poweri. This fish has a very exotic look to it. To the left of the Diplomystus is a long, thin, unidentified fish. This fish looks similar to a pipefish, but the nose is much too long and pointed. The fish at the bottom of the plate is another unidentified fish. All four fish are well preserved and display beautifully on the unbroken plate of sublithographic limestone. This is a very unique multiple plate of fossil fish from the ''Age of the Dinosaurs''.
