This is a very nice multiple fish plate. It is a slab of four Knightia alta from the Green River Formation of Wyoming. This specimen was found by Steve Hess in our new fish quarry in Wyoming. Most of the fossils found in our quarry will be offered on our new website, GreenRiverFish.com. These fish have great detail - the bones are well defined, and the scales are even preserved. The fish have great dark color that contrasts beautifully with the buff-colored matrix. The fish are nicely spaced on the large plate of shale. This is an excellent display fossil found in our own Green River quarry.
