This is an extremely prolific multiple plate of Knightia humilis from the Green River Formation of Wyoming. It is interesting that all the fossil fish are the same type and are all generally the same size. The fossils exhibit fine detail - the eye sockets are easily seen, and the bone structure of the fish is quite evident. The fins and tails are also nicely intact. The fossils have excellent color and contrast. They are artistically scattered about the rectangular matrix plate. This is a very rare grouping of twenty fossil fish on one plate.
