Fossil fish from the Green River formation of Wyoming are some of the most beautiful fossils in the world - this example is no exception. It is a super Priscacara liops, one of the rarer and more striking of the Green River fish. This specimen is centered on a squared matrix that has never been broken. It has very good color and fine detail. The fins are well-articulated, and the mouth is wide open. This specimen comes in a custom wood frame, ready for hanging. It is a great example of a classic fossil fish, perfect for display in the home or office.
