This is a very aesthetic multiple plate of Knightia humilis from the Green River Formation of Wyoming. It is interesting that all the fossil fish are about the same size. The fossils exhibit fine detail. The eye sockets are easily seen. The bone structure of the fish is quite evident. The fins are quite noticeable. The fossils have excellent color and contrast. They are artistically displayed in the center of the rectangular plate. This is a very pretty plate of fossil fish from the Eocene.
