This is a very detailed specimen of Lycoptera sp. from the Jurassic of China. This large specimen has many features preserved - the bone structure is extremely well defined and the fins are nicely displayed. The dark color of the fish is totally natural and contrasts beautifully with the whitish-brown matrix. There is also a partial fish fossilized on the plate. This is a very fine example of this Jurassic fish.
