This is a beautiful multiple plate of fossil fish from Wyoming. There are two different types of fish on the plate. The small fish in the upper left corner is a Knightia humilis. This fish has nice natural color and good detail. The two fish on the right-center are both Diplomystus dentatus. Both fish exhibit excellent bone structure and fin detail. The larger fish looks like it is kissing the other one! The fossils have superb natural color and contrast very well with the large, light-colored matrix plate. This is a very displayable fish plate from the Green River Formation.
