Here is an unusual fish tooth from the Permian of Russia. This tooth is very 3-dimensional and exhibits very fine detail. The heavily striated tooth has great enamel. The tip of the tooth is excellent and comes to a fine point. A portion of the root of the tooth is preserved. The fossil has wonderful color and contrast. It is well centered on a semi-rectangular plate of matrix. This is a beautiful specimen of an unusual fish tooth from Russia.
