This is a very interesting multiple plate of fossil fish from Wyoming. There are two different types of fish on the plate. The fish on the left is Knightia humilis. This fish has great natural color and exhibits nice detail. The scale pattern of this fish is easily seen. The two fish on the right are both Diplomystus dentatus. Both fish exhibit good bone structure and fin detail. The larger fish is a very choice specimen. The fossils have superb natural color and contrast very nicely with the light-colored matrix. This is a very displayable fish plate from the Green River Formation.
