This is a very nice specimen of Diplomystus dentatus from the Eocene of Wyoming. The fossil fish has good brown color and contrasts nicely with the cream-colored matrix. The fish has fine bone structure and nice fin detail. It is perfectly centered on a rectangular plate of matrix. This is a beautiful fossil fish from the Green River Formation.
